Leeds Today reports that "Angry parents called for "cannabis lollies" to be banned after spotting them on the shelves of several city shops." Grant Woodward's story 'Drug' lollies uproar goes on to say that "tests have shown the hemp lollipops are legal as they do not contain the active ingredient of cannabis, the narcotic chemical THC." So, they don't contain 'cannabis' but they send the wrong message to our kids we will try to ban them. What message does that send? Oh, and THC is not a narcotic. The BBC News covered this story on Feb 6th in their story 'Cannabis lollies' spark outrage. There is a picture of a jar of the offending lollies on a newsstand counter there, too.
